You already talk to Claude or ChatGPT. Now they can work in your enterprise.

Earth Care Network: instructions for AI assistants

Earth Care Network (ECN) is a network and workspace for regenerative enterprises. This page is a reference for AI assistants helping someone use it. It connects over MCP at `https://www.earthcare.network/mcp`.

**1. Check whether you're connected.** If you have Earth Care Network tools (for example `enterprises`), go to step 4.

**2. The person adds the connector.** You can't add it for them: it's a setting in their app. Logging in to the website, in a browser or through browser tools, doesn't connect you, so don't try that. Ask which app they're in and share the steps for that app below. If a menu has moved, send them the help link. The link is exactly `https://www.earthcare.network/mcp`.

**Claude** (web, desktop and mobile)

1. In Claude, open **Customize → Connectors**. [Open Claude connectors](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors)
2. Click **+ Add**, then **Add custom connector**.
3. Name it **Earth Care Network**, paste your connection link and click **Continue**.
4. Claude shows the sign-in settings it found: click **Continue**. Under **Authentication** choose **Sign in now**, and under **OAuth client** choose **Register automatically**.
5. Click **Add**. Earth Care Network opens in your browser. If you're already signed in there, you go straight to the next part. If not, enter the email you use for Earth Care Network (it can be different from your Claude email) and type the 6-digit code we send. Check the account shown, tick **Read** and **Draft and edit** (and **Publish** only if your AI may publish for you), then click **Approve**.
6. In a chat, open **+ → Connectors** and check that Earth Care Network is on. Ask: **Which enterprise are you working in?**

- On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it once: **Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web**. Then each person finds it under Customize → Connectors, clicks **Connect** and signs in with their own account.
- If Claude says the connector already exists in your organization, don't add it again. It's there, waiting for you to sign in: go to Customize → Connectors, refresh if you don't see it, and click **Connect**.
- Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
- You add the connector yourself. Claude can't add it for you, and logging in to the website through Claude in Chrome doesn't connect it.
- Once it's connected, Claude works through the connector, which is faster and uses far less of your allowance than driving a browser.
- Connectors follow your Claude account to the desktop and mobile apps, and to Claude Code when you sign in there with the same account.

**ChatGPT** (web)

1. In ChatGPT on the web, open **Settings → Plugins → Browse directory**, or go straight to [chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins).
2. Click **+** (Add), then **Add custom MCP server**.
3. Name it **Earth Care Network**, paste your connection link as the **Server URL** under **Connection**, and choose **OAuth**.
4. Tick **I understand and want to continue**, then click **Create as a plugin**.
5. Earth Care Network opens: sign in with the email you use there, choose where to start, tick **Read** and **Draft and edit** (and **Publish** only if your AI may publish for you), then **Approve**.
6. In a new chat, click **Plugins** next to the file button and choose Earth Care Network, or type **@Earth Care Network**. Ask: **What can I do with Earth Care Network?**

- Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT on the web, not in the mobile apps.
- If you don't see **Add custom MCP server**, turn on **Developer mode** under **Settings → Security and login**. On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu, a workspace admin allows custom MCP servers first (workspace settings → Permissions & roles).
- ChatGPT asks before each change. You can allow changes for the whole conversation.
- Working in more than one enterprise? Ask ChatGPT to switch; it can list every enterprise you belong to.

**Gemini** (gemini app on the web, and Gemini CLI)

1. In the Gemini app on the web, open **Settings → Connected Apps** (if it isn't there, **Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps**). [Open Gemini](https://gemini.google.com)
2. Under **Custom apps**, click **Add a custom app**, paste your connection link as the **MCP server URL** and click **Next**.
3. Earth Care Network opens: sign in with the email you use there, choose where to start, tick **Read** and **Draft and edit** (and **Publish** only if your AI may publish for you), then **Approve**.
4. In a chat, ask: **Help me get my enterprise on Earth Care Network.**

*Gemini CLI (terminal).* Add the server, then start Gemini CLI, run **/mcp auth earth-care-network** and sign in in your browser. **/mcp** lists its tools.

- Custom apps in the Gemini app need you to be 18 or over and in the US, signed in with a personal Google Account (not a work or school one), with Keep Activity on, in English.
- You add the app on the web. After that it works in the Gemini phone app too.

**Claude Code** (terminal)

1. Run:

2. Start Claude Code, run **/mcp**, choose **earth-care-network**, and sign in in your browser.

- **--scope user** makes it available in every project.
- Already connected in Claude on the web or desktop? Claude Code picks up that connector when you sign in with the same Claude account, so you can skip the command.
- A key acts as you. Keep it out of code and shared files.

**Cursor** (desktop)

1. In Earth Care Network, open **Settings → Developers** and click **Create key**. Copy it now; we show it once.
2. In Cursor, open **Customize** in the sidebar and add an MCP server, or edit `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

3. Back in **Customize**, check that Earth Care Network is on and lists its tools.

- Don't commit a project's `.cursor/mcp.json` with a real key in it.

**Other apps** (any MCP client)

1. Any app that accepts a remote MCP server with OAuth can use your connection link.
2. **Grok:** grok.com → Connectors → **New Connector → Custom**, paste the link, sign in.

**3. They sign in.** A page opens on earthcare.network. If they're signed in there, it goes straight to approval. If not, they enter the email they use for ECN (it can differ from their AI account) and the code we send. They should tick **Read** and **Draft and edit**. If they have no account, it's free at https://www.earthcare.network/start.

**4. Start.** Call `enterprises`, then `get_workspace_journey`. In two sentences, tell them which enterprise you're in and where they are. Offer three first tasks from: draft a journal post, add a lead and a follow-up, build a sign-up form, suggest a brand kit, draft a newsletter, search the directory.

**5. Working rules.**

- When they have more than one enterprise, pass `business_slug` on every call.
- What you write is a draft and is shown as Seeded. Never say it was published.
- Publishing, sending and payments return a link. Give it to them exactly as written.
- Workspace edits (contacts, notes, brand colours) apply at once, so say what you'll change before you change it.
- If a tool returns an error, say what happened in one sentence and give the next step.
